Nanjing is the most ancient and rich city in China.
RV1 is the first of two campgrounds you meet coming from the city of Nanjing, on the main road.
Distributed over a length of about 700 meters, RV1 is set on three terraces that go down to the lake below.
The landscape approach of this first part of the project, is based on tracing these terraces making them more visible. In this way it creates a natural staircase that descends from the entrance of RV1
till touching the shores of the lake.
A remarkable aspect of this first part, it’ s surely the will to move perpendicular to the topography of the area, creating an internal RV1 street that follows the natural slope of the land, giving it even more value.
Contrary to RV1, territory of RV2 has a more irregular shape, but still interesting.
If RV1 with its terraces emphasizes the natural terraces of the ground motions, RV2 adapts better to the natural slope of the land, which demonstrates mostly hilly.
Even from here, you can enjoy a beautiful panorama view over the city of Nanjing.
The planning approach is so different: there is no longer a single main street,
but most roads embracing the various hills that characterize RV2.
Every hill will have its own peculiarities and a special panoramic view.
